I’m so tired of watching moms apologize for being human.
She stepped outside for air... cue the guilt.
She let Cocomelon babysit for 15 minutes... cue the guilt.
She whispered, “I need a minute”... cue the guilt.
She booked a sitter... cue the guilt.
She missed bedtime once... cue the guilt.
I’ve been that mom, too.
We keep calling it guilt, but most of the time it’s something else entirely.
It’s fear. It’s sadness. It’s pressure. It’s exhaustion.
But the moment we name it “guilt,” we start treating ourselves like we’ve done something wrong.
And that’s how the shame spiral begins.
In this week’s episode of Mom’s Guide to Finding Herself, I’m unpacking what “mom guilt” really is... and what it’s not... so you can finally stop apologizing for being a person with needs.

You’re not selfish.
You’re not broken.
You’re not doing it wrong.
You’re allowed to be a person here, too.
Sending you big hugs,
Krissy 💛
