I’m a routine girlie, but nothing about my life has felt routine lately.
I feel like there has to be something planetary going on because wow, it’s been one high-stress moment after another for months now.
And I’m tired.
I like when life has a rhythm. I like knowing what to expect, what to lean on, how the days will flow. But lately, I can't find that rhythm. Every time I think we’re settling into something steady, the floor shifts again.
In the middle of all of that, I’ve been coming back to the thing that grounds me:
The Reset Method.
Recognize. Express. Simplify. Experiment. Trust.
I've been creating this framework over the past year, but I’ve been leaning on it more than ever recently. It’s not a big dramatic reinvention, it’s a way to gently walk yourself through the hard stuff. A way to come home to yourself, even when life is messy, loud, and upside down.
This week’s podcast episode walks you through the Reset Method in detail, especially how to use it when you feel totally out of touch with what lights you up. (Not coincidentally, it’s also what I teach in depth inside the Find Your Thing workshop from the Mom Identity Starter Kit...)
But this method works for so much more than “finding your thing.” It’s what I use when I feel like I’m losing myself, or like I’m about to snap, or like I’m holding too much.
So here’s my gentle challenge for you this week:
RESET.
Let it float through your mind whenever something feels off.
Recognize what you're feeling.
Express it somehow.
Simplify whatever you can.
Experiment with a new approach.
Trust yourself, and trust that you're not getting tricked or that another shoe will drop if things start working out.
You’re not too far gone. You’re in a reset season, and that’s allowed.
